About this file

This Statement of Work details a water system disinfection project for Missile Alert Facility (MAF) M-01 at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana. The contractor will be responsible for comprehensively disinfecting the entire water system from the well through the chlorination system in the pump house, which includes shock chlorinating the well, disposing of existing filter cartridges, and conducting thorough water sampling and testing.

Key requirements include measuring static water levels, calculating disinfectant solution quantities, diluting the disinfectant at a 1:10 ratio, adding the solution to the well, rinsing the well casing, and allowing the chlorine solution to remain in the system for 24 hours. The contractor must then drain the water, test chlorine levels, and submit water samples to a licensed laboratory for bacteria testing. Payment is contingent upon water samples showing no bacterial presence, and the contractor must install a new sediment filter cartridge after successful disinfection. The project must be completed within 60 calendar days from the contract award date, with strict environmental compliance and safety regulations governing the entire process.
