Statement of Work (SOW) for
Hangar 837 Breakroom Kitchen Cabinets
860th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron has a requirement to replace the kitchen cabinets in the Hangar 837 breakroom.
Description: The following outline of the principal features of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all materials to do a complete removal and installation of the kitchen cabinets, base, associated plumbing, and associated hardware within the intent of the specifications, sketches, drawing, and contract.
1. The contractor shall remove existing kitchen materials i.e., cabinets, base, associated plumbing, associated hardware. The existing kitchen countertop shall be reused for new installation.
2. The contractor shall conduct all post-removal repairs, wall preparation, and paint.
3. The contractor shall use paint that matches the current room wall color of white.
4. The contractor shall transport, furnish, and install new kitchen cabinets, base, associated plumbing, and associated hardware. Cabinet color shall be similar to the current color (See Attachment 0001 – Cabinet Install Pictures for reference).
5. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all removed cabinets and materials, debris, scraps, trash, etc.
6. The contractor shall clean new kitchen cabinets, existing countertop, sink, and work area of dust, debris, dirt, trash, etc.
Minimum Salient Characteristics:
- Laminate or hardwood cabinets
- Drawers and cabinets designed and built for added rigidity
- The cabinet configuration shall be similar to the current configuration and color (See Attachment 0001 – Cabinet Install Pictures for reference)
- Cabinets will be added above the sink
- There will be two cubby holes to fit a large microwave (the current microwave measures at 32” long x 16” deep x 17” tall)
- All cabinets and drawers will have handles
- Cabinets will have soft close hinges
Special Regulations to Meet: All materials and work will be environmentally safe meeting all requirements of local, state, and federal environmental agencies.
Special Requirements: The facility and adjacent area(s) will likely be occupied and utilized during the project phase(s). The contractor shall perform work in such a manner as to cause the minimum of interference to the facility and the surrounding area. The contractor shall be responsible for correcting any damage caused by or incidental to, this project. Upon contractor request, the occupant will remove any items, as necessary, to facilitate their unimpeded completion of the project.
