FAR Part 11—Describing Agency Needs

STATEMENT OF WORK

(SOW)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

Milo, Scanner 12 month service plan Statement of Need, Purpose, and/or Objective:

The MILO single cell Western system is a newer technology for analyzing the presence of specific proteins in a single cell. RRS routinely uses this instrument, simultaneously with the adjacent scanner for their ongoing research. This instrument requires specific buffers and reagents that are only designed for use in the MILO. There is not another similar system that can be used for this purpose. As such, it is important that preventative maintenance be performed routinely on this instrument and that it is covered by a service contract in the event that it fails to operate correctly.

Background Information:

The Milo single cell Western system manufactured by Bio-Techne is an instrument that determines the presence of specific proteins down to the single cell level. RRS uses this system routinely for testing the presence of particular proteins in a cell system. Additionally, the scanner which is connected with the Milo instrumentation allows for specific counting of the presence of the proteins per cell and can also account for doublets present in the sample. The two instruments are used simultaneously to analyze the resulting data. Because of the specificity of this instrument system, it requires routine maintenance on the system for its continuous proper usage, for both the MILO and the scanner.

Period of Performance:

This contract would cover service for one (1) year from December 1, 2022 – November 30, 2023.

Two Additional Option Years are included:
