About this file
This Statement of Work outlines requirements for certifying lifting equipment at the USCG Yard in Baltimore, MD, covering three work items: certification of an 87' WPB spreader bar, an 87' WPB docking cradle, and a 65' WYTL spreader bar. Each item requires inspection services to meet SFLC Standard Specification 8634 requirements, with no re-load testing needed as the equipment was previously load tested.
The contractor must complete all work within 30 days of contract award and deliver certification reports for each item that include a Professional Engineer's (Maryland) signature and seal, completed appendices B-2, B-23, and B-24, inspection findings, surveyor's endorsement, and NDT weld test reports. The related solicitation (70Z04025Q60217Y00) indicates this will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures, with quotes due by January 31, 2025, at 8:00 AM Eastern. Award will be made on a lowest-price technically acceptable basis, with payment terms of Net 30 through the IPP system.
