LAW ENFORCEMENT RADIO PURCHASE
SPECIFICATIONS
08/18/2026
Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Arizona, conducts law enforcement operations and patrols federally managed lands through Arizona as well as supporting national operations and events as needed. To ensure the safety of law enforcement officers and the public, it’s essential these officers maintain consistent and reliable communications with other officers, dispatch centers, and cooperating agencies. BLM Arizona has invested in a robust solution to meet the needs of these officers throughout Arizona including the standardization of all law enforcement radios and the implementation of a centralized radio management system (RMS).
To maintain this investment and ensure safe and reliable communications, BLM Arizona conducts regular technical refresh of subscriber radios exceeding 7 years in age.
Scope
The Government has a requirement to replace ten (10) law enforcement portable radios to keep current radios within the 7-year lifecycle limits established by policy. In addition, to ensure the Government’s past investments can continue to be leveraged, including the continued use of standard programming software, centralized management systems, and dispatch console capabilities as well as avoiding unnecessary costs for additional training, the Government requires the replacement radios to be Motorola brand radios, specifically APX NEXT All-band radios.
Requirements
To meet the Government’s requirements, the successful vendor shall provide ten (10) Motorola APX NEXT radios with the following specifications:
