· Must have up to a 6:1 zoom motorized magnification, total magnification of 4.1x to 24.5x or greater, and focus range of 75mm or greater.
· Must have eyepieces with dioptric adjustment for different surgeons.
· Must have XY adjustments that include zoom-linked XY speed and XY range of 62x62mm or greater.
· Must include technology that allows high resolution and depth of field to reduce surgeon refocusing efforts. Must include technology that has two separate optical beam paths with one beam path providing depth of field and the second providing high resolution, merging both into single, optimal spatial image.
· Must have stable red reflex and maximum image contrast from the CoAx 4 coaxial LED illumination paths with adjustable size of illumination field, allowing for the eye to remain in the field of illumination even with eye movement intraoperatively.
· Must have 2 LED lamps to provide consistent color temperature, light intensity and homogeneity over the complete life cycle of the microscope.
· Must have technology to help reduce patient exposure to light while still delivering high contrast, high resolution, and natural colors without chromatic aberration.
· Must have zoom-linked system which provides the same uncompromised view to main surgeon, assistant, and video camera, for a shared view that enhances collaboration in the operating room.
· Must have high-definition camera, recording system and monitor to display and capture procedure images for intraoperative documentation.
