STATEMENT OF NEED FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES

SUBJECT: Statement of Need for 140th Operations Support Squadron Aircrew Flight Equipment Lockers and Storage

1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Replacement of Building 701 aircrew lockers and equipment storage cabinets.

1.1. PROJECT TITLE:

Building 701 Aircrew Locker Room

1.2. OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this project is to increase the capacity for storage of individual aircrew flight equipment due to the increased number of on-station pilots in the 120th Fighter Squadron.

Building 701

Room 108 (Aircrew Locker Room)

1. 44 Lockers

a. Designed to bolt together

b. Powder coated steel frame with four shelves

i. Internal shelf must have a surface area of at least 20” x 20”

ii. Internal shelf height must be adjustable

iii. Shelves shall be capable of supporting a minimum of 100lbs each

c. 2 Mounted hooks for hanging flight gear

i. Must be capable of supporting up to 35 lbs

d. No door

e. Overall Dimensions for each locker 84”H x 22.5”W x 21.5” D

f. Black frame with red shelves is preferred, but other colors may be considered if complimentary to existing equipment (refer to picture below)

2. 6 Lower storage cabinets

a. Designed to bolt together

b. Powder coated steel frame with two shelves

i. Shelves shall be capable of supporting a minimum of 100lbs each

c. Overall Dimensions for each lower storage cabinet – 22.5” W x 21.5” D x 27” H

d. Full length butcher block bench top to cover cabinets when combined – 135.5” x

21.5”

e. Black frame with red shelves is preferred, but other colors may be considered if complimentary to existing equipment (refer to picture below)

3. 3 Storage cabinets

a. Designed to bolt together

b. Powder coated steel frame

c. 2 heavy capacity slide out shelves

i. Shelves shall be capable of supporting a minimum of 100lbs each

d. Overall Dimensions for each storage cabinet – 47” W x 22.5” D x 39.4” H

e. Full length butcher block top to cover cabinets when combined – 142” x 22.5”

f. Black frame with gray shelves is preferred, but other colors may be considered if complimentary to existing equipment (refer to picture below)

1.3. FUNCTION: Flight equipment lockers and storage are meant to house helmet, harness, G-suits, survival vest, life preservers, helmet bags, and helmet mounted display system.

2.1 DELIVERY PERIOD: The maximum performance time shall be no more than 120 calendar days after the date of contract award. Building 701 does not have a loading dock; curbside delivery will be required. All items shall be delivered to :

2.2 INSTALLATION: Installation is not required.
