About this file

This is a Sources Sought Response Form for electrical contractors and other wiring installation contractors (NAICS Code 238210) interested in competing for a federal contract opportunity involving airfield lighting construction and related infrastructure work.

The form requires interested firms to provide company registration information including name, SAM address, CAGE Code, and Unique Entity ID, along with socio-economic status designations such as small business, disadvantaged business, HUB Zone, woman-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned status. Respondents must answer five detailed technical qualification questions, each requiring "yes" answers only if the company has fully self-performed the work or met the 50% subcontracting limitation requirements under FAR 52.219-14. The qualification requirements include: (1) experience performing airport work with control towers while maintaining active airfield operations; (2) at least five major airfield lighting projects within the last ten years covering runway/taxiway edge lighting, in-pavement lighting, approach lighting, electrical distribution cabling, and lighting controls; (3) experience installing new electrical vaults with constant current regulators; (4) licensed electricians certified in medium voltage splicing; and (5) experience installing aircraft-rated airfield pavements (concrete, asphalt, or both). Respondents may answer on behalf of electrical or paving subcontractors, provided they specify the subcontractor's name and business size. All responses require detailed project documentation, complete form submission, SAM registration confirmation under the applicable NAICS code, and a signed certification acknowledging that incomplete answers or missing documentation may result in exclusion from the government's determination regarding set-aside solicitation eligibility under FAR Part 19.
