About this file
This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for a canal restoration project within the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve in Louisiana. The National Park Service Denver Service Center is conducting market research to determine the appropriate solicitation approach for a project involving approximately 9,500 linear feet of canal backfilling and restoration, with an estimated construction value between $1M and $5M. The project will require water-based operations, using barges to access the site, with a 120-calendar day performance period anticipated.
The solicitation is planned for Fall 2025, with a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) for a single Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. Interested contractors are asked to complete a detailed survey questionnaire by August 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm Mountain Time, submitted to the Contracting Officer. The government is seeking information about companies' experience with federal construction contracts, canal restoration, water-based site work, and potential small business set-aside qualifications, including EDWOSB, HUBZone, and veteran-owned business certifications.
