About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Education, Division of Blind Services, Career, Technology, and Training Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The procurement is seeking an upgrade to the existing HVAC controls system at the agency's Daytona Beach campus, including installation, programming, and ongoing service of the new EcoStruxure system. The work is to be performed over a 12-month period or until completion. The single source vendor identified is Stark Tech, as they are the only authorized provider for the proprietary Schneider Electric and RS2 Technologies products required. The agency previously attempted an open procurement but was unsuccessful in finding a qualified contractor.

The estimated value of the contract is $65,545. This procurement is a sole source acquisition due to the proprietary nature of the required products and services, and the lack of other authorized providers in the Daytona Beach area. The funding source is the Department of Education, Division of Blind Services. Prospective vendors are invited to provide information on their ability to deliver the requested services, and the agency will make a final determination on the single-source justification.
