About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Education, Division of Blind Services, Bureau of Business Enterprise. It is requesting credit card transaction processing and associated maintenance and support services for card readers installed on vending machines as part of the Division's Business Enterprise Program. The contract term is for 36 months, consisting of three one-year renewal terms. The estimated dollar amount for this single-source acquisition is $3,000,000.

The justification for this single-source procurement is that the vending machine card readers are proprietary equipment, and Cantaloupe, Inc. is the sole provider of annual maintenance and card processing fees for the existing 3,000+ USA Technologies (now Cantaloupe, Inc.) card readers installed statewide. This single source contract will establish a contractual method for the Division's licensed blind managers to purchase the required maintenance and support services.
