About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Education (DOE) for the continued development, updating, and implementation of the Florida Safe Schools Assessment Tool (FSSAT), a proprietary online safety assessment system. The DOE is seeking to contract with Digital Sandbox, Inc. (d/b/a Haystax) to provide software development and maintenance services for the FSSAT for a term of 3 years, as mandated by sections 1001.212(1) and 1006.1493, Florida Statutes. The estimated dollar amount for the contract is $2,585,000.
The DOE has determined that Digital Sandbox, Inc. (d/b/a Haystax) is the sole source provider for the FSSAT, as they were originally selected through a Request for Proposal in 2014 to develop and construct the system. The FSSAT is used by all Florida public school districts and sites to conduct security assessments, and this contract will satisfy the statutory requirements for the tool.
