The Zeiss CMMs are used in the QVC Lab to measure jet engine components and fixtures that are used in the repair process. The weapon systems supported include but are not limited to each of the engine, aircraft, and commodity products managed at Tinker AFB. The QVC's specialized expertise in the area of dimensional ir:ispection activities is dependent on the quality of the equipment it utilizes. These CMMs are also a critical link in the investigative measurement process of verifying first articles submitted by potential suppliers of new jet engine components. They are the fastest and most accurate method of verifying dimensions on these first article projects.
