About this file

This document is a Sole Source (Including Brand Name) Justification for simplified procedures for certain commercial items. It explains that the Air Force has placed a temporary hold on new orders for local telecommunications services at Travis AFB due to integration issues between DISA and commercial carriers. As a result, Travis AFB is required to remain on the current technology and service contract to continue mission-critical telecommunications services. Transitioning to a new service contract would require a comprehensive installation and cutover plan approved by DISA and the SAF, which would create a lapse in critical public safety services. Therefore, the Air Mobility Command has granted a sole source contract FA442725P0001 to an unknown vendor for an unknown amount on 2024-10-01 for Local Telecommunications Services at Travis AFB for FY25.

This untimely information necessitates Travis AFB to remain on the current technology and service contract to continue mission related telecommunication services. Transition to a non-incumbent service contract will necessitate the development, submission and execution of a comprehensive LTS installation and cutover plan by DISA, then approved by SAF for Travis AFB to comply
