6.1 Compatibility Statement:
6.2 Copyright / Proprietary Data / Licensing Agreement Statement:
The 3D stereoscopic underwater cameracamera must have a specific design interface that is compatible with an existing NPS system. The camera setup is meant to be attached and connected to the Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV), specifically a Remus 100 UUV with the supplied hardware. Numurus LLC (Numurus) has been able to create a product that fits the NPS' needs and it is compatible with the current equipment. The mounting hardware provided by Numurus allows the camera to be attached to an UUV. The camera from Numurus has a depth rating of 1000 meters and also has a lighting system that has the same depth rating. Only Numurus' camera has a compatible unit that will work with the NPS' current system.
7. Brand Name (if applicable, detail why the procurement is restricted to a specific brand name manufacturer):
8. Additional information supporting a sole source acquisition:
GSA Advantage search for "stereoscopic camera" resulted in cameras that are not designed for underwater use.
Many underwater cameras available in the open market are for hand-held use such as with scuba diving and are not designed to be physically mounted on an UUV as per the requirement.
Numurus LLC is a small business concern and confirmed that there are no distributors or resellers.
