Social Security Administration
Responses to Offerors submitted questions concerning
SSA-RFQ-09-1290
Note: This document provides the Government’s responses to offerors submitted questions concerning SSA-RFQ-09-1290.
1. Offeror Question: Where travel is anticipated, such as to Baltimore for the orientation meeting, should the cost of travel (e.g., plane fare, per diem, hotel) be included in the unit price?
SSA Response: Per Section E-2 of the RFQ, propose any travel required in accordance with the SOW as a total not-to-exceed amount, which is reimbursable based on actual cost in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
2. Offeror Question: The RFQ references “electronic environment” related to the training. For example, paragraph o, p. 8:
“Provide the DHO training in a full electronic environment. This may include the use of laptop computers, an electronic case bank, video conferencing, electronic reproduction of case files, and other measures needed for performing disability hearings in an electronic environment.”
Question: Will the contractor be required to provide the laptops or will trainees be expected to bring their own?
SSA Response: Per Section B-1 of the RFQ, the “Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel, materials, services, facilities, and equipment, except as may be otherwise specified herein, and perform all tasks necessary for, or incidental to, the performance of Disability Hearing Officer Training.”
