About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (Form PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). FDLE intends to contract with Parabon NanoLabs, Inc. for 36 months of forensic genetic genealogy, DNA phenotyping, and kinship inference analysis services. These services will be utilized by FDLE's Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy Program to generate investigative leads for cold violent crimes cases and unidentified human remains cases within the state of Florida. The intended sole-source award to Parabon NanoLabs is due to their proprietary Snapshot Advanced DNA Analysis Service, which includes the requested capabilities and for which Parabon has no authorized resellers.

The estimated dollar value of the 36-month contract is $150,000. Parabon NanoLabs is the only vendor authorized to provide the Snapshot Advanced DNA Analysis Service, which includes the required forensic genetic genealogy, DNA phenotyping, and kinship inference analysis capabilities. FDLE has determined that these services are only available from Parabon NanoLabs as the sole source.
