About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). FDLE is seeking to purchase additional Conducted Energy Weapons (TASER) for a 3-year period. The TASER conducted energy weapons are an integral part of FDLE's law enforcement tactics and training programs, allowing officers to safely subdue physically violent offenders while mitigating the risk of injury. Axon Enterprise Inc. is identified as the sole distributor and retailer of all TASER brand products, and FDLE is justifying a single-source acquisition from this vendor. The estimated dollar amount for this procurement is $500,000.
FDLE is requesting information from prospective vendors regarding their ability to supply the required commodities or contractual services. If it is determined that the goods and services are only available from a single source, FDLE will provide notice of its intended decision to enter a single-source purchase contract in accordance with Florida Administrative Code and statutes.
