About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). FDLE is seeking fixed-wing aircraft maintenance and repair services for the Governor's jet. The contract term is 3 years. FDLE has identified Textron Aviation as the sole source for these services, as they are under contract with Textron for proprietary maintenance programs, and using another vendor would void the existing warranty.
The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $900,000. FDLE is mandated by statute to provide transportation and protective services for the Governor, and maintaining the Governor's jet in operational condition is critical to ensuring the safety of the Governor and his frequent travels. FDLE has determined that Textron Aviation is the only source capable of providing the required maintenance and repair services without voiding the existing warranty.
