The agency is seeking to procure maintenance services for three (3) spectrometer systems - the Octane Elect Plus Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and the Orbis X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Spectrometer systems. These systems are used by the FDLE's Orlando Regional Operations Center crime laboratory to analyze trace evidence in support of state and local law enforcement agencies. EDAX, Inc. is identified as the sole source provider authorized to maintain and support these proprietary systems, and the estimated value of the contract is $71,000 for the period of 3/1/2023 - 2/29/2024. Prospective vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the required services by the deadline of 1/30/2023, after which FDLE will make a determination whether to proceed with a single-source procurement.
