About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (Form PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for the acquisition of one BRASSTRAX Acquisition Station and one MATCHPOINT Analysis Station. These products are part of the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) system owned and operated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), to which FDLE is granted access for analysis purposes. The justification for a single-source procurement is that Ultra Electronics Forensic Technology Inc. (UEFTI) is the sole manufacturer and distributor of these IBIS systems, which are necessary and compatible with the NIBIN network. The intended single-source procurement is estimated to cost $200,000. FDLE is advertising this intended single-source procurement for at least 7 business days as required by Florida statutes.
The contract opportunity is limited to the state of Florida, specifically Leon County and the city of Tampa. There is no mention of any set-asides, incumbents, or funding sources. The document does not provide details on pricing terms, the contract term, or any renewal options.
