About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The agency intends to procure services from the Florida Alliance of Information and Referral Services (FLAIRS) to provide free information to the public about the USDA Child Nutrition Programs, as authorized by the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act. The estimated value of the contract is up to $194,000 with an approximate contract amount of $64,000, covering the period from the date of execution through August 31, 2022.

The justification for this single source procurement is that FLAIRS is the 211 collaborative organization for the state of Florida, responsible for the Florida 211 Network, which serves as the single point of coordination for information and referral for health and human services. FLAIRS is the only organization in Florida certified by the Federal Communications Commission to operate the 2-1-1 phone number and to catalog and disseminate comprehensive health and human service information to Florida residents.
