The USAF Academy 10th Contracting Squadron anticipates a requirement that is being considered under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed 333120. Size standard: # of Employees 1,250.

Salient Characteristics: Mortar mixer

At a minimum, the Mortar mixer must:

· Be a vertical shaft type mortar mixer. Horizontal shafts or drum type mixers won’t work with the type of mortar we are using in this research due to our mix’s stiffness and the presence of embedded fibers.

· Be towable (on wheels) in order to bring the equipment between work sites on occasion or put into longer term storage between projects.

· Have a 7.5-10 hp electric motor in order to impart enough shear force on the materials being mixed. An electric motor vs. gas or diesel engine is required so it can be used indoors out of the weather elements.

· Have a 20-25 cubic ft drum capacity so we can utilize the pre-packaged/pre-measured dry materials and make all the mortar we need for a specimen in one batch.

· Be compatible with a 220V 3 phase outlet to provide the required power

· Have text on the machine and the instructions in English so faculty staff and cadets can understand them.

Include in your capabilities package/email your DUNS/Cage Code, and System for Award Management expiration date, and any related specifications/drawings. Capabilities package shall overtly demonstrate the company’s ability to meet the government needs.
