All products must meet FDA, AABB, and applicable regulatory standards and be collected, processed, tested, stored, and transported in compliance with blood banking regulations. Respondents should submit point of contact information, business name and address, socio-economic category, applicable contract numbers (GSA, NAC, TAC, SAC), capability statements or brochures, SAM UEI number, delivery days after receipt of order, country of manufacture, and documentation indicating whether the company is the original equipment manufacturer or an authorized distributor. A letter from Olympus America, Inc. stating compatibility is required. Responses must be submitted by email to Rachelle J. SOURCES SOUGHT

Blood Products CLE This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only; it is not a Solicitation (i.e., Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, or Invitation for Bids.), This SS is part of the Government’s market research effort to determine the scope of industry capabilities and interest and will be treated as information only. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses to this SS are strictly voluntary and the Government will not pay respondents for information provided in response to this SS. Responses to this SS will not be returned and respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. Although responses to the questions posed by the Government would be most beneficial to this market research effort.

The purpose of this Sources Sought (SS) notice is to conduct Market Research to determine an appropriate acquisition strategy, to include determining if there are a sufficient number of Small Businesses capable of performing the requirements to warrant a set-aside, for the procurement of blood products and associated transfusion support services for the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106.

The contractor shall provide a full range of blood components and related services necessary to support patient transfusion needs and laboratory operations at the medical center. These products may include, but are not limited to, Leukreduced red blood cells, apheresis platelets, plasma products, cryoprecipitate, low-titer O whole blood, and other specialty blood components. The contractor shall also provide associated laboratory and immunohematology services including antigen typing, molecular testing, antibody identification, rare donor unit procurement, HLA-selected platelet products, and STAT processing when required.

Blood products must meet all applicable FDA, AABB, and regulatory standards, and must be collected, processed, tested, stored, and transported in accordance with established blood banking regulations to ensure patient safety and product integrity. The contractor must maintain the capability to provide routine and emergency blood product support to meet the clinical needs of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.

Potential sources must demonstrate the capability to provide the required equipment. Potential sources should submit:

· Point of Contact with email address and phone number;

· Business name and address;

· Applicable business socio-economic category;

· GSA, NAC, TAC, or SAC contract number if applicable;

· Capability statement and/or brochures of the equipment to allow for assessment of meeting the requirements stated above;

· SAM UEI number;

· Delivery days After Receipt of Order (ARO);

· What country made the product is made in; and

· Whether or not your company is the OEM or a distributor. If a distributor, indicate who the OEM is and provide authorized distributor letter.

· Letter from Olympus America, Inc. stating compatibility.

Proprietary/Competition Sensitive information (appropriately marked) will be protected from disclosure to the greatest extent practical, however it is preferred that respondents do not provide proprietary or otherwise restricted responses unless they are indicating proprietary technical characteristics.

Vendors are hereby notified that if a competitive solicitation is issued on the Beta SAM website http:// https://sam.gov at a later date, all interested parties must respond to that Solicitation announcement separately from any response to this SS announcement. This SS does not restrict the Government's acquisition approach on a future Solicitation.
