About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for an industry trade show and exhibit booth service. The Department's Division of Marketing and Development intends to procure rental space to host a welcome reception for "Fresh From Florida" growers and retailers at the Southeast Produce Council's Southern Exposure trade show held at the World Marriott Center in Orlando. The commodity is classified under UNSPSC code 80141900 for trade shows and exhibits. The posting date was July 21, 2026, with a deadline for prospective vendors to submit information regarding their ability to supply the requested services by August 11, 2026—a 15-business-day advertisement period as required by Florida Statutes Sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3). The contract is intended for execution through June 30, 2027.

The estimated dollar amount for this procurement is approximately $36,000, with a contract amount cap of up to $70,000. The justification for single-source acquisition identifies the World Marriott Center as the sole known source capable of providing the rental space at this specific event, as it serves as the organizer of the Southeast Produce Council's Southern Exposure trade show. This purchase is authorized under Chapter 570, Florida Statutes, which grants the Department authority to promote Florida agricultural products. The procurement was approved by multiple departmental officials including the Development Representative Supervisor, Bureau Chief, Division Director, Purchasing Director II, and the Director of Administration.
