This is a Single Source Procurement Notice from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) announcing its intent to enter into an agreement with Leica Microsystems Inc. for preventive laboratory equipment maintenance services. The notice is provided in accordance with statutory requirements for a 15-business-day advertisement period. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide equivalent commodities or contractual services must submit relevant information to the contact person by June 30, 2026. Additional details regarding the commodities and contractual services to be procured are referenced in the attached PUR 7776 document.
The procurement represents a single source agreement, indicating that FDACS has determined Leica Microsystems Inc. as the sole qualified provider for the specified preventive laboratory equipment maintenance services. The notice does not solicit competitive bids or proposals but rather provides an opportunity for other vendors to challenge the single source determination by demonstrating their capability to provide equivalent services within the specified timeframe.
