About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for the procurement of software services. The Florida Forest Service, Bureau of Forest Protection, seeks to acquire the Veryon Aviation Management Platform, a cloud-based solution that integrates maintenance management, inventory control, flight scheduling, work orders, and technical publications into a unified system. The procurement is for a one-year term with an estimated total value of up to $225,000, with an approximate contact amount of $187,250. The document was posted on February 9, 2026, with a deadline for prospective vendors to provide information by March 3, 2026. This is a statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertisement of an intended single source procurement, and no formal bidding process is applicable.

The justification for single source acquisition centers on Veryon's exclusive distribution agreement with Piper Aircraft, Inc. for technical publications that are not available through alternative vendors and are fully integrated into Veryon's proprietary tracking system. The agency determined that no other provider can deliver the integrated aviation management capabilities, real-time operational data access, mobile application support for iOS and Android, and robust data security within a single platform necessary for regulatory compliance and mission-critical operations. The procurement was approved by multiple levels of Florida Forest Service and Division of Administration leadership, including the Assistant Chief, Chief, Assistant Director, Director, and Purchasing Director II. If the Department determines after reviewing information from prospective vendors that the commodities or services are available only from a single source, it will post notice of its intended decision to enter into an agreement on the Vendor Information Portal.
