About this file
The document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, seeking event sponsorship with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival, Inc. dba Visit Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival. The contract is for event sponsorship with a term from the date of execution through June 30, 2026, with an approximate contract amount of $35,000 and a total estimated budget of up to $50,000. The solicitation was posted on 05/07/2025, with the last day for receipt of information being 05/29/2025.
The sponsorship aims to promote and generate additional retail sales for Florida agricultural products by utilizing the "Fresh From Florida" logo on the festival's advertising platform. The justification for a single-source acquisition is the festival's exclusive ownership, licensing, naming rights, and trademark. The initiative aligns with Florida Statutes 571.2 and 571.24, which outline the Department of Agriculture's purpose in promoting Florida's agricultural commodities and showcasing Florida-grown products, value-added goods, and agricultural-related businesses. Multiple internal approvals were obtained, including from the Chief of Seafood and Agriculture Marketing, the Director of Marketing and Development, and the Director of Administration.
