About this file

This document is a Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract posted by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). The DEO is seeking to procure ArcGIS mapping software from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) to assist in the deployment and updating of broadband location-specific infrastructure. The software is required to establish a base map identifying current broadband access and update it as new projects are approved and completed using funding from the American Rescue Plan Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The contract term is for 1 year.

The total price for the ESRI software subscription package is $195,898.00. The DEO has justified this as a single source purchase, stating that the product is proprietary in nature. The contract opportunity is limited to the state of Florida, specifically Leon County and the city of Tampa.
