About this file

This specification document defines requirements for a golf course greens aerator to be procured by Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama, specifically mandating a Toro ProCore 648s with a 23-horsepower Kohler engine. The aerator must be a self-propelled, professional-grade machine capable of maintaining consistent hole quality with minimal turf damage, featuring a minimum 48-inch coring width and an active ground-following system to maintain uniform depth across undulating greens. The unit must include a hydrostatic or closed-loop drive system, engine-off lift/lower controls with microprocessor logic, and the ability to operate independently without requiring tractor attachment, while maintaining coring depth capability up to 5.0 inches.

The equipment package must include a transport trailer, LED light kit, mounted needle tine heads and brackets, rear roller attachment, and a turf pride core collector. The supplier must provide a minimum two-year/500-hour limited warranty on major components and maintain a physical service location within one hour's drive of Birmingham, Alabama. Delivery to Oak Mountain State Park's Golf Course Maintenance Department at 880 John Findlay III Drive in Pelham, Alabama is required, with all associated delivery costs included in the quoted price. This is specified as an "all or none" procurement, indicating the requirement is for the complete equipment package and cannot be divided among multiple vendors.
