Spring_2025_Equity_Plantings_-_Mohler_Street_Trees.pdf

This document is a geospatial mapping file for the Spring 2025 Equity Plantings project, specifically focusing on tree planting along Mohler Street in the Homewood neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The file contains detailed coordinate data for multiple tree species including London Planetree, Tupelo, Redbud, Honeylocust, Swamp White Oak, Ginkgo, and Cherry trees. These trees are strategically positioned behind sidewalks and between sidewalks and streets, indicating a comprehensive urban forestry initiative aimed at enhancing the neighborhood's green infrastructure.

The map visualization reveals the precise locations of these tree plantings within the Homewood North area, with markers indicating the specific species and their spatial relationships. The project appears to be part of a broader municipal effort to increase tree canopy coverage, potentially addressing environmental equity goals by improving green space in the Homewood neighborhood. The document suggests a systematic approach to urban tree planting, with careful consideration of placement and tree species selection to maximize environmental and aesthetic benefits for the community.
