About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by DLA Aviation in Ogden, Utah for an F-16 accelerometer assembly. The solicitation number is SPRHA4-26-Q-0184, with quotations due by 24 March 2026. The accelerometer assembly (NSN 6680-01-039-7817 WF) provides quadruple-redundant sensing of F-16 acceleration forces along the lateral and normal axis and is composed of a cast aluminum chassis, cover, eight identical linear force-balanced accelerometers, four external electrical connectors, and four harnesses. Manufacturer part numbers include options from Lockheed Martin (CAGE 81755) with part numbers 16C0715-1 and 16C0715-3, and from manufacturers 55097 and 9009H. The RFQ is not a small business set-aside and is approved for U.S. contractors only. The NAICS code is 334514 with a size standard of 850 employees. Quotations shall be held firm for 120 days. The Government will not make award by a specified date, though delivery is required by 31 December 2027 for production articles and 31 December 2027 for first articles after 270 calendar days.

The RFQ offers two bidding options: Bid A requires first article approval with submission within 270 calendar days to FB2029 for inspection and testing, with one unit required for delivery, while Bid B waives first article requirements and requests four production articles for delivery by 31 December 2027. First article testing is required unless the contractor meets waiver conditions (previously furnished to prime contractor for DoD delivery, currently in production for DoD, or previously furnished to DoD within 36 months). Government evaluation cost for first article testing is $4,000. Pricing will be the sole evaluation factor. Delivery is FOB origin with standard military packaging and marking per MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129R. Supply chain traceability documentation must be retained for ten years, including manufacturer information, batch identification, inspection and test records, and manufacturing process sheets. The contract includes standard FAR and DFARS clauses covering matters such as cybersecurity safeguarding, telecommunications equipment restrictions, item unique identification, payment submission via WAWF, and representations regarding small business status, whistleblower rights, and greenhouse gas emissions disclosure.
