About this file
This file is a PowerPoint presentation for a Pre-Solicitation Conference for the KC-46 Landing Gear Strategy. The acquisition is a small business set-aside Requirements Type Contract (RTC) for overhaul and remanufacturing support of KC-46 Main and Nose Landing Gear (MLG/NLG) with a 5-year base period and 5-year option. The contract will cover 43 total Depot Level Reparables (DLRs), including full shipset overhauls with a 10-year time change interval and an 82-day Exchange Lead Time (ELT), as well as sub-component and field-level support.
The contract will be a single award with Firm Fixed Price pricing, including an Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) clause, and will be managed by the 417th SCMS at Hill AFB. Key performance requirements include delivering 'A' condition assets, meeting specific remanufacture turnaround times, and providing engineering support with FAA compliance. The solicitation is anticipated for release in January 2026, with a competitive source selection using trade-off procedures. Contractors will be evaluated on their overhaul capabilities, technical expertise, component sourcing, and capacity to meet throughput requirements.
