Technical Requirements Summary - SPRBL127RA005
This document is Exhibit B of a Technical Requirements specification (version dated May 12, 2023, issued October 8, 2026) for the acquisition of diesel engine, starter motor, magnetic contactors, and supporting components for an 800kW, 60 Hz Diesel Powered Generator Set (DPGDS). The specification document establishes configuration baselines, coating requirements, packaging standards, and security protocols applicable to this acquisition.
The configuration baseline identifies two primary items: a diesel engine (NSN 2815-01-698-4724, Part Number TAD1642GE-B, Drawing 17-61244) and a generator set with diesel engine (NSN 6115-01-686-9282, Drawing 17-61221). Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) requirements specify exterior surfaces shall be finished in lusterless green (FED-STD-595 Color 34094), with camouflage desert colors including black, tan, green, brown, and white as applicable. Interior shelter surfaces may be finished in green or white. Special instructions address antenna elements, heat-resistant parts exceeding 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and flexible parts that cannot be painted with CARC. All CARC-coated items must be marked with a durable "CARC" stencil. Packaging requirements reference DLAD T/Q Requirement RP001 for wood packing material treatment and military specifications MIL-STD-129R, MIL-STD-130N, and MIL-STD-2073-1E for preservation, packing, and marking. The specification includes detailed DS7029/DS7033 preservation and packing instructions for six NSNs with Special Packaging Instruction AG00000340. Contract security requirements are governed by the signed DD 254 Contract Security Classification Specification, which takes precedence in case of discrepancies.
