This Statement of Work (SOW) details a procurement for 20/40 Mesh, Fine Grade Coal Slag Abrasive Blast Grit for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The contract requires 72 super sacks (2-ton/4,000lb each) of grit meeting MIL-A 22262 specifications, with deliveries staggered over approximately 9 deliveries. Delivery requirements include morning deliveries to Building 337, with minimum orders of 8 sacks (32,000 lbs) per delivery, and a total delivery period not to exceed one year.
Key logistics include flexible delivery scheduling, with estimated regular usage of one 8-sack delivery per week and potential peak usage of two 8-sack deliveries weekly. Strict delivery coordination is mandated, requiring advance communication with the Project Material Managers (Mike Green and Christine McCarron) and Project POCs (Chance Harmon-Wentworth and Jason Drouin). Security protocols are detailed, including driver identification requirements, truck condition specifications, and restrictions on items permitted on the military installation. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside with Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation criteria, issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, with a response deadline of 4/11/2025 at 3pm EST.
