LIQUID-COOLED INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEM AND ACCESSORIES

ORDERING SPECIFICATIONS

DOCUMENT #’s: 2046-3340, 2046-3341 and 2046-3342

1. Must have at least two insulated output connectors to accommodate either air cooled or water cooled heating blankets

2. Running gear must have four 5 inch swivel casters with brakes that can mount to the bottom of the power source or induction cooler.

3. Must have built in temperature controller that can be programed either manually or by temperature based programing. Manual programing must allow for setting a specified power level and heating time duration. Temperature based programing must allow for preheat, soak and or stress relief

4. Must have at least 4 control thermocouples and two monitoring thermocouples for heating allowing the controller to regulate rising heat by reading input from hottest thermocouple and cooling based on the coolest thermocouple allowing for operation within tight minimum/maximum heating requirements

5. Must have open output detection feature to prevent operating system without a covered output receptacle

6. Must have cable identification feature that identifies type of cable attached and limits output according to capacity of identified cables and blankets

7. Must have automatic system shutdown isolation fault protection that shuts down system if the power source output shorts to ground via a sense lead that provides direct feedback to the power source to sense fault condition

8. Must offer operator tutoring system to provide information to maximize coil arrangements for maximum performance

9. Must have the faster time-to-temperature heating cycle provided by induction heating

10. Must have instructive onboard diagnostic capabilities (that instruct and train operators) that include; notification of maximum parameter limit, identify fault conditions, and provide trouble shooting guide

11. Induction heating system shall be able to operate on 400-460V 3-phase, 50/60Hz input power, an output frequency of from 5 to 30 kHz, at a rated output of 35 kW @ 100% duty cycle, input amperes at rated output of 400 V: 60A, 460 V: 50A, and from 39/37 KVA/KW at rated output

12. Control panel shall have LED indicator identifying Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature measurement

13. Control panel shall have LED lamps to indicate active thermocouples controlling heating process and display temperatures of active thermocouples 1 through 4

14. Control panel shall have LED lights to indicate system fault condition, system limit condition

15. Control panel shall have buttons to control run, hold, stop, selection cursor, increase, decrease, cooler, parameters, run status, program switch, and power switch.

16. Liquid-cooled induction heating system must be able to operate up to 1450 degrees Fahrenheit (788 degrees Celsius.

17. Induction heating system power supply must be able to be used with existing inventory of air and water cooled blankets, output extension cables, thermocouple extension cables and series cable adapters

18. Induction heating power supply must have auxiliary receptacle for auxiliary accessory power

19. Must come with heavy duty induction cooler with coolant

20. Induction heating power supply dimensions must be no greater than 227 LBS.

21. Induction heating power supply must be able to keep Uniform heating maintained along and through the heat zone by using induction to heat within the material

22. Induction heating power supply dimensions must be 36.75 in x 21.75 in x 27.5 in (LxWxH)

23. Induction heating system must be manufactured with certification from an OSHA approved

Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory

24. Any substitutions must be approved by C/106, C/138, S/31M and

S/26 prior to award
