WITH MIL-STD-2073-1.
B. SEAL ALL OPENINGS WITH CAPS/PLUGS OF THE APPROPRIATE SIZE.
C. COVER ALL WINDOW APPERTURES.
D. SECURE ASSEMBLY FROM ROTATING IN AZIMUTH AND ELEVATION DIRECTIONS USING TAPE.
E. CLOSE BAG BY ACCEPTABLE MEANS. SEE PAGE 3 FOR PLACEMENT.
F. CLOSURE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM D1974, METHOD 2C1.
G. UNIT CONTAINER SHALL HAVE A FRAGILE LABEL.
H. PACKAGING:
LEVEL A PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING WOOD-CLEATED PANELBOARD SHIPPING BOXES CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 6251, TYPE III, CLASS 2 OR NAILED WOOD BOXES CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 6880, CLASS 2.
LEVEL B PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING FIBERBOARD BOXES, WEATHER RESISTANT,
CONFORMING TO ASTM-D5118 OR TRIPLEWALL, CORRUGATED FIBERBOARD BOXES, CLASS 2, CONFORMING TO ASTM-D5168. CLOSURE, SEALING, AND REINFORCEMENT SHALL BE IAW SPECIFIC, APPLICABLE
METHODS OF ASTM-D 1974, OR AS REFERENCED IN THE CONTAINER SPECIFICATION.
WHEN THE TOTAL QUANTITY TO BE SHIPPED TO THE SAME DESTINATION EXCEEDS 125 POUNDS, EXTERIOR
PACKS WITHOUT SKIDS SHALL BE PALLETIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-147.
