About this file

This Special Packaging Instruction (SPI) document provides detailed specifications for packaging an STT-208 Reflector Antenna for military shipping. The packaging requirements specify a wooden crate measuring 115"x101"x30" with precise cushioning instructions, including:

  • Four 24"x24"x1" polyurethane cushioning pieces glued to crate sides near reflector edges
  • Two inches of polyethylene cushioning glued to the crate base
  • Three wooden 2x4 braces spanning the crate width with additional cushioning
  • Additional 2" polyurethane cushioning at the reflector's angled base to prevent shifting

The document also mandates specific marking requirements, including "Arrow up", "Fragile", and "Do not double stack" stickers on the crate, and specifies that all wood packaging materials must meet International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) 15 for both domestic and international shipments.
