SPECIFICATION SHEET
Mountain Home AFB, ID Potable Water Trailers
(Water Buffalos) 24 Sept 2024
1. GENERAL: Units of the 366th Fighter Wing located at Mountain Home AFB require four (4) 525 gallon potable water trailers.
2. Potable Water Trailer MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: must (at a minimum) comply with the following salient characteristics:
2.1. Physical Characteristics
2.1.1. Wheeled to ensure ease of transportation across unpaved/unimproved roads.
2.1.2. 500 gallon water tank capacity.
2.1.3. Water tank must be black polyethylene or similar material to prevent ultraviolet rays from penetrating the potable water within the tank.
2.1.4. Trailer must be equipped with adequate breaking system.
2.1.5. Trailer hitch should be 2” ball compatible with most standard towing vehicles.
2.1.6. Trailer should have adequately rated jackstand to account for trailer and water weight.
2.1.7. Tank must have adequate manhole, vent caps, and drainholes for maintenance and servicing.
2.1.8. Tank must be rated for potable drinking water.
2.1.9. Water trailer must be ready to use. Trailers should be delivered in a “ready for use” configuration at the delivery location.
4. DELIVERY SPECIFICS:
3.1. Shipping charges must be included in the quotation.
3.1.1. Contractor shall deliver two (2) units to Wendover Airfield, Utah - 345 Airport Apron, Wendover UT 84083; and two (2) units to Twin Falls Airport, Idaho - 524 Airport Rd, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
3.1.2. Units must be delivered by 15 October 2024.
