About this file

This is a specification sheet for a ski and snowboard grinding machine procurement by the 366th Force Support Squadron at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. The specification establishes minimum requirements for a single universal belt grinder (220v) with a closed cooling system, 40-liter tank capacity or larger, and locking swivel rollers. The machine must include both an auto/self-feed attachment for base grinding and a side-edger attachment suitable for skis and snowboards. Physical dimensions are constrained to 48 inches in length, 36 inches in width, and 58 inches in height due to facility space limitations. The machine must be capable of functioning as a single unit with interchangeable attachments rather than separate equipment.

The contractor is responsible for complete installation, setup, and training at the Outdoor Adventure facility located at 655 Pine Street, Building 2800, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho 83648, with delivery required no later than 30 days after contract award. Installation obligations include providing all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and supervision; ensuring proper operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications; diagnosing and repairing any non-functioning equipment at contractor expense; and maintaining facility cleanliness throughout the process. The contractor must also provide technical training to government personnel on system operation and supply a basic starter kit of supplies upon installation, with ongoing technical support available by telephone or in-person visits. A minimum one-year warranty covering parts and labor is required. Shipping costs must be included in quotations. The associated solicitation (FA489726Q0018) is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside conducted under FAR Part 12 for commercial products and services, with quote validity requested through September 30, 2026, pending fund availability.
