About this file
The document is a specification sheet for a roller vibrating compactor for the Big Cypress National Preserve. The project requires a single-drum vibratory soil compactor equivalent to the CAT CS11, with specific technical requirements including an operating weight of 22,000 to 26,000 lbs, a minimum drum width of 84 inches, and a diesel engine with at least 120 HP meeting current EPA emission standards. Key specifications include high and low amplitude vibration settings, a centrifugal force of at least 50,000 lbs in high amplitude, hydrostatic or electronically controlled drive system, and operator features such as ROPS/FOPS certification, climate-controlled cab, and ergonomic controls.
The compactor will be utilized for soil stabilization, compaction of fill materials, and general earthwork restoration within the preserve's environmentally sensitive terrain. Additional desired features include GPS compatibility, optional grade control system, heavy-duty frame, durable drum design, and easy-access maintenance points. The specification sheet provides a comprehensive technical overview for potential vendors to understand the precise equipment requirements for this National Park Service procurement.
