SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

Polymer Additive Manufacturing 3D Printer

1. GENERAL OVERVIEW: The 366th Air Force Repair Enhancement Program, Mountain Home AFB,(MHAFB) ID, has a requirement for one (1) new Fused Filament

Fabrication (FFF) also known as Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) style printer to develop and manufacture aircraft grade components

MINIMUM CHARACTERISITICS: The FFF/FDM printer at minimum must comply with the following characteristics:

2.1. Physical Characteristics

2.1.1. FFF/FDM style of printer.

2.1.2. Exterior dimensions: able to fit into an area of about 52" Wide by 40" Deep by 80" tall.

2.1.3. Minimum build volume of 18" x 18" x 25" (450 x 450 x 625 mm).

2.1.4. Operate on one of the following: 110/120 50/60hz and/or 208/230/240 VAC 50/60hz.

2.2. Capability Characteristics

2.2.1. Printer must have the ability to print with non proprietary 1.75 or 2.85mm polymer filaments to include but not limited too.

2.2.2. Compatible with Simplify3D, Cura, or Insight slicing software.

2.2.3. Ethernet connectivity.

2.2.4. On board particle filtration system.

2.2.5. Dual extruder capability.

2.2.6. Extruder temperature of 370 C to 450 degrees C or greater.

2.2.7. Bed plate temperature 160 degrees C or greater.

2.2.8. Enclosed chamber temperature 100 degrees C or greater.

2.2.9. Environmentally/humidity controlled filament storage area.

2.2.1.1 ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, PEEK, PEKK, PETG, PSU, PPSU, TPC, TPU, ULTEM. Carbon fiber and glass-filled variants of the each type and the ability to print various soluble and break-away support materials.

2.4.2. Delivery may be no later than 60 days ARO.

2.3.1. Printer must be included with on site training for 3-4 personnel to include function and operation. training will take place after the machine has been installed, wired to the facility and is fully operational.

All employees shall fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
