About this file
This document appears to be a set of specifications for an X-Ray Inspection System that Sierra Army Depot (SIAD) is seeking through a federal contract opportunity. The key details include:
The required system must have a tunnel size capable of scanning objects up to 59 inches wide by 70.9 inches high, a conveyor with a pulling weight of at least 1,200 kg (2,646 lbs) and bidirectional movement, and the ability to connect to external monitors and recall at least 10 previously scanned images. Technically, the system must provide at least 28 mm of steel penetration, 38 AWG wire resolution, a 100% duty cycle, less than 0.1 mR per hour dose per exam, and less than 0.5 mR per hour radiation leakage.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice from the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal, seeking sources who can provide the required X-Ray Inspection System. This is a market research effort, and no solicitation exists at this time. Interested parties are requested to submit capability statements, including their socioeconomic status, UEI, and CAGE code, to the contracting officer.
