About this file

This document contains a solicitation for a high-throughput next-generation sequencer. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is seeking to purchase a sequencer to increase sequencing capacity to support methodologies including bulk and single cell sequencing, targeted genomic sequencing, whole genome sequencing, metagenomics, and long-read pathogen sequencing. Quotes are due by September 2, 2021 and award will be made within 60 days. Evaluation criteria include technical approach, past performance, and price. The solicitation provides detailed minimum specifications for the sequencer, including the ability to generate over 9 terabytes of data in 24 hours using 300bp reads run in parallel on two wafers. The place of delivery is the Vaccine Research Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The award will be a firm-fixed-price contract.
