About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a mobile tower trailer that will be used to support sensor equipment for monitoring greenhouse gas production and meteorological data. The key requirements for the tower include being lightweight yet robust, freestanding without heavy anchoring, mobile on a trailer platform, and able to support up to 125 lbs of equipment. The trailer specifications include a 15'11" frame, 5,190 lb GVWR, adjustable coupler height, and mechanical leveling jacks.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for one TRAILER TOWER (TM-12HD/T-DD-35) or equivalent, with a solicitation number of 12405B24Q0147. Offers are due by 4:00 pm CST on April 22, 2024 and will be evaluated on technical capability, past performance, and price, with technical and past performance being more important than price. Award will be made as a firm-fixed price contract to the responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the specifications and is most advantageous to the government.

Text version
Statement of work The mobile tower will be used as the supporting infrastructure to install sensor equipment for monitoring greenhouse gas production and meteorological data from an on-farm surface water reservoir. Due to the nature of the locations limited space and terrain support, the tower needs to be as light weight yet robust to support itself and all the required sensor equipment and operational hardware. Additionally, the tower will need to be freestanding and not require heavy duty anchoring mechanisms that would disturb the current soil stability near the edge of the reservoir. The tower will also need to be mobile thus requiring the unit to be built on a mobile trailer platform. This will facilitate movement of the system as well as provide environmental enclosure workspaces for storing datalogging equipment and support hardware. This system will added to the Delta Water Management Research Unit’s existing monitoring network.
