1.03 PROJECT INFORMATION

A. Project Identification: Hanger 107 Renovation, McLaughlin ANG Base. ANG Project No.

LYBH112130.

1. Project Location: 1679 Coonskin Drive, Charleston, West Virginia 25311.

B. Government: West Virginia Air National Guard, 1679 Coonskin Drive, Charleston, West Virginia 25311.

C. Architect/Engineer: AECOM, 277 West Nationwide Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

1.04 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following:

1. Presently Hangar 107 houses the Aeromedical Squadron, a physical fitness facility. After the renovation it will house the Aeromedical squadron, the physical fitness facility and a small air terminal. The Hangar is a primary gathering building. Inhabited building routinely occupied by 50 or more DoD personnel.

2. The project is an interior renovation of an existing hangar. There is limited opportunity to modify Hangar 107 and the surrounding buildings and associated roads and parking. Because of the site limitations only the minimum stand-off distances can only be achieved. In 2013 Hangar 107 was renovated and modified for the Aeromedical Squadron; project LYBH119145 Convert/Repair Hangar 107 for Aeromedical Squadron. Part of that project included building upgrades to meet UCF 4-010-01 DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings. These upgrades included:

the addition of reinforced concrete masonry unit walls along the perimeter, blast resistant doors, blast resistant windows and glazing units.

3. The hangar and surrounding area meets the Unobstructed Space requirements.

4. Hangar 107 does not have nor are there plans for a Drive-Up/Drop-Off Area.

5. Hangar 107 is a single story structure
