Minor pattern modifications are permitted to accommodate automation and manufacturing procedures; however, the design and finished measurements must be maintained. The patterns provide for a seam allowance of 1/4-inch for shoulder strap, collar, sleeve straps, belt, and front facing. The patterns provide a seam allowance of 3/8-inch for safety stitched seams and 1/2-inch seam allowance for double lapped, double stitched seams.
