Distribution Tank –
Distribution tank to have two compartments ≈275 to 300 gallons each for a total capacity of 550 – 600 gallons. Tank footprint designed with dimensions to maximize workspace along each side when mounted on trailer but not to exceed a height of 40 inches.
Distribution tank walls, partitions, and floor to be double-walled and insulated (minimum of 2 inches;
closed cell foam that will not absorb water).
Inner walls to be constructed of aluminum; outer walls constructed of aluminum or fiberglass. All construction materials of a thickness that meets or exceeds the industry standard with additional re-enforcement where needed (e.g., floors, corners, lift points, etc.).
Each compartment with –
Aggressively sloped floor toward round bottom outlet – bottom outlet with 10-inch Valterra knife-gate valve or equivalent that is watertight and can be easily opened/closed from drivers-side of tank/trailer;
t-pull handles (or similar) to be recessed or positioned to avoid being a tripping hazard when working along driver-side of tank. Each compartment to drain into a common discharge tube (10-inch) that exits at trailer’s rear with a camlock cap.
Aluminum door that provides a large opening to facilitate fish loading. Door to include heavy duty piano style hinge (runs along passenger side of compartment), a durable handle for opening/closing, two stainless steel locking latches setback from drivers-side edge of compartment to reduce snagging when loading fish, and a durable hydraulic cylinder style lid support to hold door open during loading.
Two vent scoops to allow air circulation (≈3-inch opening) – one located on compartment door and the other along passenger-side edge of tank
Two 12-volt Fresh-Flo Model TT (PM8014) each held in place with toggle clamps for easy removal, if needed. Wiring to include all necessary components (e.g., central junction box with fuses, indicator lights, toggle switches, etc.) for each fresh-flo. Central junction box with indicator lights and toggles to be located on front (cab end) of tank.
Oxygen Delivery/Monitoring –
Includes “mount” or “bracket” for two compressed O2 cylinders [industrial size 200 or K (5 ft. tall and 10” diameter); not included in bid] that is located near front passenger side of tank/trailer.
Oxygen supply line with Victor dual stage regulator (connected to O2 cylinder) to supply oxygen to 3-port
(1 inlet; 2 outlet) oxygen manifold located at front (cab end) of tank. Oxygen manifold equipped with two flowmeters (prefer Victor flowmeters with 0.5 – 7.0 lpm capacity; one for each compartment) that meter oxygen flow to Point-Four microbubble ceramic plate oxygen diffusers (27.50 long x 3.25 wide) or similar product in each tank.
Trailer –
Aluminum constructed deck-over trailer (maximum width 8ft 6 in) capable of hauling above fish distribution tank safely and efficiently.
Prefer bumper-pull trailer with standard 2-inch coupler, if possible.
Include custom or pre-built step(s) with tread depth of at least 4 inches on each step and a rail/handle near front driver-side of trailer for easy and safe access onto flatbed
Include appropriately sized tongue jack, LED running lights, spare tire and rim (mounted on trailer).
Include aluminum toolbox to allow storage of 5-gallon buckets, nets, hoses, etc. ahead of tank on cab end; provided sufficient room is available.
Successful bidder to contact Agency contact prior to construction for review of specifications.
