SPECIFICATIONS
Lighting Fixtures for Greenhouse Incubator Chambers
Replacement fixtures need to meet specific light wavelength requirements and to tolerate the varying temperatures of the Growth Chambers that best suits the condition of culturing our wheat plants that are infected with the stripe rust pathogen our research project is working with, as well as connect to the existing electrical system in the building.
Requirements:
· Lighting for two growth chambers:
10’ X 22’ 12’ X 12’
· Light spectrum that falls in the 600-650 nanometer wavelength
· Spectrum of 1750-2200 micromoles/sec with a broad angle optic
· Light quality that is white in appearance so that it doesn’t irritate people’s eyes while working beneath the lights
· Broad operating range of temperature of 32-104 degrees Fahrenheit
· All electrical cords need to be flying lead ended (no plugs)
· Operate on 120-volt, 60Hz power
