About this file
This specifications document outlines technical requirements for sexual assault evidence collection kits being procured by Maryland's Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy. The procurement seeks 2,000 evidence collection kits designed for victims of sexual assault. The specifications establish standardized requirements for kit contents, packaging, and quality standards to ensure consistency and reliability across all submitted products. The document details the physical components, materials, and performance standards that kits must meet to be considered compliant with the procurement requirements.
The specifications emphasize the critical nature of evidence collection in sexual assault cases, requiring that all kits meet forensic standards and include necessary materials for proper chain-of-custody documentation. Requirements cover packaging integrity, sterility where applicable, and inclusion of all necessary collection supplies and documentation forms. The procurement specifications do not contain pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractor details, or funding amounts in this document, as these elements are addressed separately in the solicitation materials. Vendors must ensure their products comply with all stated technical specifications to be eligible for consideration.
